As far as I know, edited .exe is needed for WoW to not crash when interface edits are done. It seems your .exe isn't really edited, or isn't properly edited. But rather wait for someone who has more information about this particular topic, I'm just guessing here.

Try getting the one for your version from there. I took that link from Ownedcore from a guy known as jh16.

it's that i use the problem is when i try to loading my patch, is when i have crash

Same in 32 bits and 64

So i added a new race in the interface and activate it, but when i load the patch it crashes

Hi Dokman,

JH16 (John) the guy who cracks all the WoW Binaries is a friend of mine - I'm sure I can get him to help you...

It isn't the MD5 hash check that is required for Glues, its Signature check (which looks at whether or not the custom patches are from blizzard - which we fake), the MFIL file, which prevents wow from downloading any more game data, the Glue Check which is to prevent UI modification - especially that of LUA/XML Files... any of the above could be giving you an error...

Another likely problem is that the base version number on your patch is one not contained in the MPQ field. You cannot have a patch over the REV Number of wow itself (e.g 17399)...

Also there is the even higher chance that you are using the old glues/xml for WOTLK and hoping it will work on MOP - This is not the case AFAIK and having had a good chat with Mordred about it, he was unable to get it working as lots has changed...

if you want to speak to JH16 - who will very kindly crack your client (because he is a really nice guy) - add me on skype (ben.aldrich) or add him 'Jm_Nero' - and let him know that I sent you...

It's possible to do it on Mop, there is just a minor change with wotlk, you have to change a short jump by a long jump somewhere, at the "switch case" step.

The problem with MOP, the fix is not correctly working and can freeze your client, when you server crash

Also the quit and disconnect functions are inversed for no reasons.

How i do this? i don't know what i have to edit, or in the dbc or in the client executable?

Ownedcore didn't upload Mop Exes with lua/xml removed security, so you have to do yourself

There is a tutorial for doing it on modcraft, i don't know if it is reuploaded here.

What version of MoP are you trying to mod?
f6eb10714f.jpg

I've modded 5.4.8, 5.4.2 and 5.4.0 basically just have to open the exe in a decompiler and change some strings.

P.S.

Also a note John doesn't remove glue protection so like Rangon said above you have to remove it yourself.

MoP works really funky when you try enabling/disabling certain stuff.

For example, enabling the function to load files directly from the data folder works like crap. It can't override files and won't even load anything from the DBFilesClient folder.

Another one is the GlueXML edits, (as said) it reverses the quit and logout functions and adds some kind of "Login Succesful" when you log out, or it just crashes.

If i were you, i would try to get a fresh WoW.exe, and test each edit one at a time. Sometimes when you redo these things it just magically works.

But if anyone actually has a 5.4.8 exe without GlueXML protection and can load files from the folder. Please share, MoP (imo) is the best version for newer stuff and "mostly" working server software.
