  1. Today i will explain how to port your Vanilla\BC\WotLK Maps to WoD. What you will need: Your map MyDBCEditor Pagdzin & Mjollná ADT converter PhilipTNG's ADT LK to MoP/WoD Converter Rangorn's WdtSupplies A WoD Server Step 1: Modify DBC files. Go to your server's folder and copy the "Map.dbc" and "MapDifficulty.dbc" to your DBFilesClient in your WoD Folder. Now right click the Azeoth entry, and select "Copy line to". Now write in the Map ID you want to use. I am gonna use the map id 3000. Once copied, it should show you the new map id you have added. Now we need to modify it to your needs. The first column says "Azeroth" This is the internal name aka what you want the map folder to be called. I am gonna call it "SuperCoolLand". The next name you will see is "Eastern Kingdoms" This is the ingame name, choose whatever you want here. There is alot of different columns, but for now let's save it and open up MapDifficulty.dbc Now this may look complicated, but it's actually pretty easy. Right click the ID column and click "Insert Line". Now write an unique id, im gonna pick 5000. You should now be at your new line. The second column is gonna show a "0". You will need to change that to your map id. So im gonna write 3000. Save the file and copy the your modified dbc files to the server's dbc folder. Now you should have your dbc files both in the client and the server. Step 2: Converting the ADT's There are two ways of converting the adt's. Pagdzin & Mjollná ADT converter or PhilipTNG's ADT LK to MoP/WoD Converter. Pagdzin & Mjollná's is the fastest one. But it only works with blizzard adt's or older noggit modified adt's PhilipTNG's works on all adts, but is quite slow at converting them. If you are unsure which one to use, Philip's is usually the best one. I'm gonna tell how to use both. Step 2.1: Using Pagdzin & Mjollná ADT converter Download the tools and extract the folder to wherever you want. Open the "adtconverter.conf" and modify the "directory=" to where you want the converted adt's to be written. Save the file and open up "ADT Converter.jar". You can now choose if you want "Retail" or "World building". I'm gonna select the second option. Now click file, open and navigate to the directory with your WotLK adt's. Once you have found it, click "Open" and let the converter do it's thing. Once it's done, you should be able to find your freshly made adt's in the folder to choosed above. Make sure that for every adt that there is an: _tex0.adt _tex1.adt _obj0.adt _obj1.adt If the tex1 and obj1 is missing, just copy the tex0 and obj0 and rename them to tex1 and obj1. Copy the adt's to your WoD folder's "World\Maps\Whatever your continent is called" Step 2.2: Using PhilipTNG's ADT LK to MoP/WoD Converter. Once you have downloaded the tools, extract the folder to the root of your C: drive (this is important!). The path should be like this: C:\PTNG_ADT_Converter Now, copy your ADT files to the "ToBeVerted" folder. Once they have been copied, run the "WC_ADT_Convert.bat" file. This takes longer depending on how many adt's you have. While it's running, don't copy or paste anything, or you might break something. Once it's done it's thing. You should now have some new adt's in the "Finished" folder. Make sure that for every adt that there is an: _tex0.adt _tex1.adt _obj0.adt _obj1.adt If the tex1 and obj1 is missing, just copy the tex0 and obj0 and rename them to tex1 and obj1. Copy the adt's to your WoD folder's "World\Maps\Whatever your continent is called" Step 3: Creating other needed stuff. Now we need to use WdtSupplies to create some other needed files for WoD. Extract WdtSupplies and move your wdt file to the same folder. Open a new command prompt at the same location (Shift+Right click and select "New command prompt here") and write the following: java -jar WdtSupplies.jar NameOfWdt.wdt The Program will now generate the following files: *.wdl *.tex *_occ.wdt *_lgt.wdt It might take a few minutes, so be patient. Once done, copy the new files to your continent folder. Now launch up your server, teleport to your contient and it should work! FAQ: "I Used Pagdzin & Mjollná ADT converter but there is no adt's in the output folder?" Make sure that the directory is the same, as you wrote in adtconverter.conf. If that's correct, try use the other option (Retail). If it still doesn't work, try use the other converter. "Terrain is green in the distance, but when i get closer it gets it right texture." This is caused by the *.tex file, it's for low resolution texture. The only way to fix this, is to take an tex file from another map, that uses the same textures as your own. "How do i port my WotLK maps to Cata or MoP?" For Cata and MoP, you don't need to modify MapDifficulty.dbc and you don't need the _occ and _lgt file. Everything else is mostly the same.
  2. Version 1.0.0

    205 downloads

Cata used for a short while the classic Azeroth instead of the new one. This Link allows you to directly download the classic Azeroth, converted by Blizzard from their servers. You need to open the MPQ and extract the content yourself.
  3. Note: this is only for 64-bit exe of 7.3.5 26972! To disable GlueXML signature check, make the following changes in Wow-64.exe using your favorite hex editor: at 1B7A8E: replace A6 with A7 at 86D522: replace DB with DC
  4. The animation bugs are due to the key bones, remove all key bone references < 26.
  5. Version 1.0.0

    440 downloads

An old WoW Alpha MDX Converter/Viewer to OBJ Converter. It converts all WoW Alpha mdx files into OBJ files with mesh and uvmaps preserved. No weights, animations or particles!!! The UV-Map need to be mirrored at Y-axis to be correct. Made by DaishiOfDeath, i'm just reuploading it here since the converter has nearly disappeared from the internet.
  6. Version 1.0.1

    277 downloads

Ironforge ported from version 0.6.0 3592 to the newer WMO format. Also known as the Alpha Ironforge. Works in all versions except for Legion. Current Bugs: Lava/liquids are not in the right position, no intention to fix ATM.
  7. Version 1.0.1

    69 downloads

Converts WMOv16 files to the newer WMOv17 format. WMOv16 is used from build 0.6.0 3592 to 0.8.0 3734. The script can detect by itself if the file is a root or a group file. Missing features: Currently does not fix MLIQ chunk (coordinates system changed or something)
  8. There are some textures used for the forge that was removed when they switched to the new layout. I haven't had the time to filter out the needed textures. Gonna see if i can fix then.
  9. Oh boy..... Rangorn, at what point did anyone criticize you for modding on Legion? you are the only one criticizing people for modding on a specific version by calling them "335fags" has anyone ever called you a 710fag? You look upon yourself as the god that will save wow modding and whenever you discover on how to create something in newer expansions, you expect everyone to shower you with compliments and tell you how great of a person you really are. Have you seen that happen anywhere in any topic when someone releases a tool? You should do this for your own curiosity and willing to learn and not for strangers on the internet to give you compliments. You wanna know why people don't want to mod on never expansions? because people don't want to! people use 3.3.5 because of all the possibilities we have with it and because WoW in that time was a really good game! Legion is nothing like 3.3.5, heck it's not even really a RPG game anymore and sure, we can always mod Legion to be like 3.3.5 ! but it is really worth that effort? you wanna spend time fixing Blizzard's current shit, or get right into making your own stuff? And to quote yourself: Good for you! but why the fuck are you criticizing people for modding on whatever version they like? this is what you want to do and that's fine! but no need to say that everyone who does not mod the newest version of wow is a fucking faggot. I agree that it would be cool to see the community move to a newer version, but the most you are getting out of that is better graphics and some new technologies to make use of and it return you are getting a real pain in the ass casc system and model format. Is it really worth sacrificeing gameplay over that? lululalaland, you are criticizing us because no one knows the exact answer to your problem? You know that almost no one mods on Legion, yet you ask for help like everyone does. Why don't you try experiment and see if you could solve the problem by yourself? In school, if you get an assignment where you have to make a presentation about a topic, do you expect the teacher to hand you the final presentation? Of course not! you have to research and find information about it. Sorry for the long rant, i just can't fucking believe so many who mod on newer expansions, criticize others for not doing the same shit as them and not joining their anti old version WoW movement......
  10. You could, but depending on what classes he want to remove, there are gonna be gaps between some classes.
  11. If you need to remove class buttons from CharacterCreate, you are gonna need to remove the classes in ChrClasses.dbc aswell. CharacterCreate needs a button for every class, so it can automatically add stuff like names and descriptions.
  12. This one is for Cata, Phillip made one for WotLK. Anyway to fix your texture problem, open the map's wdt in a hex editor and change offset 14h to 4E.
  13. Heard about it some hours ago. It's a shame really, but I expected Blizzard to do something sooner or later. They have said they will release the source and database. So that Nostalrius can live on, but i think we are going to see alot of "Nostalrius Resurrection" servers.
  14. It's the 3.3.5a version. Sorry, i don't have the files downloaded right now.
  15. I do know it it's possible to fix, but i have no idea how. You could maybe use Phillip's converter to convert them to WotLK and then upconvert them to Cata. No idea if it works.
  16. You will need a patched exe for that. Try looking here: https://mega.nz/#F!9tkl0QoR!yjyRncXyQUhlzbOoR7zNxA
  17. If you are looking to enable this on 5.3.x or 5.4.x, it's a bit different Go to the offset "7BFA", there you will find (on 5.4.8) "E8 97 99 00 00" Replace this with "90 90 90 90 90" And it should work
  18. WoD MPQs? there is no such thing as that. Try using CASCExplorer if you want to extract files.
  19. MoP works really funky when you try enabling/disabling certain stuff. For example, enabling the function to load files directly from the data folder works like crap. It can't override files and won't even load anything from the DBFilesClient folder. Another one is the GlueXML edits, (as said) it reverses the quit and logout functions and adds some kind of "Login Succesful" when you log out, or it just crashes. If i were you, i would try to get a fresh WoW.exe, and test each edit one at a time. Sometimes when you redo these things it just magically works. But if anyone actually has a 5.4.8 exe without GlueXML protection and can load files from the folder. Please share, MoP (imo) is the best version for newer stuff and "mostly" working server software.
  20. I'm pretty sure you did the uvmapping on the face incorrect, how did you do it?
  21. MapDifficulty.dbc, should be described in the tutorial.
  22. Okay i found it, it's from WotLK Alpha so i don't know if it works on Cata. Works fine on WotLK tho. BetaStratholme.zip
  23. If you are moving your edits to cata, you would need to downconvert the cata adt's, modify them in noggit, and upconvert them back to cata. You can't edit WotLK adt's and upconvert them to cata, the game will crash. To convert the cata adt's to WotLK, you can use PhillipTNG's downconverter. To convert them back, use his upconverter.
  24. I think the picture is from an old WotLK alpha version. The current one on live looks like this: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4123/4908658856_d4b53f8454.jpg I have a bunch of WotLK alpha's lying around, i can take a look and see if i can find it.
