Uploading hair fix. Adjusted shoulder attachment position somewhat for Blood Elf Male model as well.

Thank you Necronn. Adding this to the known issues. Will fix eventually :/

Addressing some of the other reports:
A lot of the wrong-handed animations exist because I had to make a choice to either make spell animations use the correct hand, or make emote animations use the correct hand. I chose spell animations.

A lot of texture bugs I'm seeing reported don't exist for me, I'm guessing these might be the result of other mods not playing nice with mine, or using my mod on custom servers.

Regarding the listfile requests (added this blurb to my main post):

My MPQ files are all open for editing, but I see some people are having issues seeing the file structure. I'm not sure why, but if you're having issues seeing the file structure you can extract the file called (listfile), rename it to listfile.txt and add it back to the MPQ. That should allow you to see the file structure.

    Hello!

Definetely not a big deal, but I think it's worth mentioning.

Dwarf Flight Masters on WOTLK (3.3.5a) have their masks/glasses weirdly positioned (inside their beards).

Outstanding work with this patch, btw. It feels like playing a completely different game. Thank you!

Thanks! I'll see about a fix in the next update.

Having trouble getting this to work with Uthil's latest release of his Improved NPC models mod (Patch3.mpq)

I messed up the Uthil compatibility patch somehow. Woops! I've removed support entirely, it was way too complicated to install correctly. Uthil's mod incorporates a previous version of my WoD character models anyway.

Well there's that. The position looks good but I don't trust the WoWhead Dressing Room to render things faithfully because the "low-res" version of the model doesn't show the eyeglow either and you said the eyeglow shows in-game with the original 3.3.5 model. Also, looking at your screenshot more closely I can see the right-eye is glowing in the side-angle shot, which shouldn't be happening with my understanding of things. So there's something I don't understand about how this works; it's as if there is a "z-index" on the eyeglow that should override what's in front of it. If anyone knows what's going on, let me know, until then I'll do some experiments.

About Human Female camera: That bug has been discussed earlier in the comments. Basically Human Females and Undead Females have their "portrait" and "character" cameras flipped. The cameras aren't bugged if you aren't using a portrait addon, but I'd like to see if I can make it work with the addon as well.

EDIT: I've fixed these issues and they will be included in the next update

I'm guessing the eyeglow sprite is positioned in front of the helmet texture in the original 3.3.5 client. I don't know what helm this is, can you tell me its name or see for yourself what this helm looks like in Wowhead's dressing room: https://www.wowhead.com/dressing-room Let me know what you see

The Deathknight eyes are "billboard" type models--also known as 2D "Sprites"--meaning they always face the camera. The helm in that picture has a partially transparent texture in front of the Deathknight eye model, which dims the Deathknight eyeglow effect, but it pokes through that texture when you turn the camera to the side. This is working as intended.

Forgive my ignorance, but is there any way to up the resolution on the faces? Or is it a limitation of the client?

It's a limitation of the client

Also, is it just me or does female orcs faces still look a little outdated? Their eyebrows are low quality, as well as their lips.

It's not just you, the original resolution of the HD model faces is 512x512 and I have less than half of that (256x192  in WotLK and 128x96 in CL/BC). Optimization helps a lot--generally I got about 1.5-2x the pixels allocated to the faces--but the gap in resolution is extreme. For your edification here's what I've done to optimize the Orc Female face: the original is on the left and the optimized one I created is on the right. http://www.mediafire.com/view/39n4q6tkhe4v24w/ORCFEMALEFACELower00_00.jpg#

Understood; the cape is clipping with the Tauren's back. I can adjust that when I do another batch of updates.

Quick question, but I don't know if this is the right place for it. Is there any way to tell if these files also include female goblin models? Because I'd like to change all gnomes to Goblins instead if possible.

    This includes Goblin females

Can anyone explain the problem warfol02 is trying to show me?

Undead Female also reverses the camera order so it'll probably have the same issue

Also, just uploaded a bunch of fixes including: a random crash bug related to textures, Night Elf Male teeth not showing, the addition of missing sounds for various emotes. Also added a new hairstyle to my optional redesigned Draenei male. Oh boy

Hi  leeviathan, fan of the work you have been doing with these updated models! There seems to be a problem with human female models specifically the portrait they are all displayed fullsize instead of head and shoulders, this bug was also in your previous version. The same can been seen with the Felorcs too. WoTLK client.

Goblin flightmasters seem to be using the older models.

Also find attached a fixed EmotesTextSound.dbc for WoTLK some characters were missing sounds for: Cackle, Chuckle, Giggle, Gloat, Guffaw, Mourn, Rofl, and Taunt.

Keep up the good work! :)

    Cheers,

    Arranz

p.s. Curious why this new one has to be loaded after Finsternis creature pack now?

    EmotesTextSound.dbc

Human Female portraits: these appear correctly for me. Are you sure you aren't overwriting my patch with someone else's patch (maybe a custom patch is lurking in the localization folder)? Or perhaps using a custom client (i.e. Warmane)? Also, my patch doesn't replace Felorcs.

Goblins: I'm aware some goblin models are the old model. I'm guessing the goblins that use the old model are NPCs that weren't in Cataclysm. FYI the goblin mod was made by someone else and I integrated it by request.

Emotes: thanks, somehow I always manage to unfix that dbc file. Thanks for letting me know.

Finsternis compatibility: Actually I don't see a reason my patch needs to load after Finsternis's mod, I take back what I said in my info.txt file

Seems like the download links don't lead to the updated post tho. I might just be doing something wrong. Rather, the vanilla one doesn't. The other two lead to mediafire links.

    Thanks, fixed the link

Alright. Thank you for the response :)

I just uploaded updates for all. Better faces/helms/shoulders are now common between CL, BC, and WotLK version. I've also added Cataclysm Goblin NPCs and the optional Draenei Redesign I mentioned. the WotLK version is compatible with Finsternis's mod (WotLK) and the CL version is compatible with Uthil's Improved Models mod.

First I just want to thank you for making this. It will be so much more enjoyable to play classic now with the updated models. Quick question tho: do you have an ETA on the updated faces for the vanilla models? I see that it says "soon", just wondering what time frame you're working with here.

"soon" meaning "probably a really long time from now" haha. I got distracted by another mod I'm working on plus I wanted to wait a while to make sure I didn't have any bugs before downporting it. I'm just about done with my other mod ("Draenei Redesign" coming soon) and I haven't been able to find any bugs for a while now, so maybe it really will be happening soon...

I would say that this look like a mistake. In the patch from the author Finsternis, the animation of the cape at Tauren DK looks normal. On your patch, the animation looks crooked and there appear some kind of eyes on the raincoat.

I may be misunderstanding the issue you're describing. I thought you were referring to the rough bottom edge of the cape, which is intentional, but that doesn't sound like what you're referring to anymore. I'm scrutinizing my cape vs. the cape in Wowhead Dressing Room and failing to see a difference other than the rough bottom edge.

I'm working on fixing the Dragonmaw Foreman - NPC ID: 21441 , DISPLAY ID: 2229.

Go into CreatureDisplayInfoExtra.DBC and find the Dragonmaw Foreman and look at the the last column to find the texture name. Go into Finsternis' files and delete that texture.

Thanks for the report, I'm glad you were able to get it working. I'll add a note to the description that this isn't compatible with non-English localizations.

For those with some modding experience: I've attached 2 patches that you can use with MyDBCEditor to quickly patch your version of AreaTable.dbc and WMOAreaTable.dbc. Just open AreaTable/WMOAreaTable.dbc with MYDBCEditor, go to File->Apply Patch... and select the relevant patch (see attached). Save.

    AreaTable - 3.3.5a Music Rescore patch.txt

    WMOAreaTable - 3.3.5a Music Rescore patch.txt

I have a question. When will the raincoat animation of Tauren DK be fixed?

It's not going to be fixed because it's working as intended. Transparency in various capes (for effects like the rough edges on your Tauren DK) is intentional.

this helmet of the image is wrong in  the face of the character was to be all black, it is getting transparent

This helmet looks correct to me, maybe I'm not understanding you though.

Thanks necronn, I must have neglected to re-incorporate that fix. Here's a little patch to fix it if you don't want to download the whole thing again.

EDIT: main download is updated to include this fix.

Yup, just uploaded the fix. Since I had to upload the whole thing again in order to fix the Gnome Female boots I took the opportunity to tweak that Blood Elf Male hair that was mentioned earlier + increase the resolution of the Night Elf Male faces.
