Optional Boneless Undead:

Not exactly the Chinese censored version of the Undead models, instead these are hybrid models with custom un-ripped capes and a full set of facial features.

Optional Broken/Krokul custom male and female models:

Customizable male and female Broken/Krokul models for NPCs and optionally for Draenei players.

Download for Vanilla (v1.12.1) Note: Incompatible with retail WoW Classic

Download for Burning Crusade (v2.4.3)

Download for Wrath of the Lich King (v3.3.5a)

Optional: Project-Ascension Metamorphosis fix
I haven't tested this, but I'm told this custom server has an issue with my mod and Troll warlocks casting Metamorphosis. This patch fixes the bug (which causes all player models to disappear) by removing the new Goblin models.

Also check out my Cohesive Druid Forms mod, and Old World Music Rescore mod

Side note: My MPQ files are all open for editing, but I see some people are having issues seeing the file structure. I'm not sure why, but if you're having issues seeing the file structure you can extract the file called (listfile), rename it to listfile.txt and add it back to the MPQ. That should allow you to see the file structure.

Known issues:
Sheath/unsheath emote doesn't work on some models (CL, BC only)
Face-type geometry morphing, or whatever it's called, isn't implemented
Several goblin NPCs use the old  model, Also some blood elf NPCs
Some objects are held in the wrong hand for animations like "drink" "mine" etc

[update 11-12-2017] Corrected Undead Female model (initially uploaded wrong version which had transparent fingers and no eye-glow effect)
[update 11-13-2017] Cone of Cold hack fix added; TBC character emote sounds added
[update 12-02-2017] Fix to stuttering Framerate issue
[update 10-11-2018] Fixed "Dragonmaw Foreman" npc texture
[update 12-27-2018] Added WotLK version with many improvements (i.e. improved facial textures, helmets/shoulders, etc.)

[update 12-29-2018] Improved Wrathful Gladiator's Chain Helm positioning for Blood Elves. Included Optional Boneless Undead patch with download.
[update 12-30-2018] Fixed some helms/shoulders that were rendering too dark. Adjusted Blood Elf Males' held weapon positions.
[update 01-01-2019] Adjusted Blood Elf Male mounted sitting position, fixed opacity issue in Blood Elf Female glove and boot cuff geosets, modified HelmetGeosetVisData.dbc to prevent a few helmets from hiding Undead facial features
[update 01-07-2019] Fixed fishing animations for BEM, GnM, GnF, OrM, TaF

[update 01-07-2019] Added Gnome Female bulky boot geoset
[update 04-05-2019] Added Cataclysm Goblin NPCs, integrated better faces/helms/shoulders into the CL, BC versions of the mod. Added optional Draenei Redesign.
[update 04-09-2019] Fixed a random crash bug related to textures, fixed Night Elf Male teeth not showing, added missing sounds for various emotes, added a new hairstyle to my optional redesigned Draenei male
[update 04-15-2019] Fixed a random crash caused by a particular helm (BC), adjusted Tauren Male capes to prevent clipping, adjusted a few things in the Draenei Redesign
[update 04-15-2019] Made DK eyes glow through partially transparent helms, made Human Female cameras work with 3D portrait addons
[update 05-08-2019] Adjusted sitting position on mounts for many character models (most were sitting a little too low), added NPC goblin hairstyles and facial features

[update 06-04-2019] Made Night Elf male cape double-sided. Fixed a goblin NPC in Darkmoon Faire whose purple hair was causing  a crash.
[update 12-13-2019] Fixed some goblin NPC textures in Cosmowrench. Added some missing particle textures on a couple shoulder items. Incorporated Cone of Cold fix into my Cohesive Druid Forms mod compatibility patch for 2.4.3
[update 09-06-2021]  Fixed one of the Blood Elf Male barbershop hairstyles. Adjusted Blood Elf Male shoulder position/scale.

[update 12-30-2022] Added Broken male and female models with option to play as Broken. Aligned some vertex normals between facial geosets for a smoother appearance under some lighting conditions (applies to undead/draenei models).
[update 12-03-2023] Updated optional Broken addon with new voiceovers (English only). Fixed beard vertex weights for Human males (thanks to route2zion)

Go into CreatureDisplayInfoExtra.DBC and find the Dragonmaw Foreman and look at the the last column to find the texture name. Go into Finsternis' files and delete that texture.

I looked in the log of WMV and found that it was referencing this texture which isn't in any of the patches.

- Original: ffee4108dcabb5de4c0ab3343dd4d282.blp
- HD (missing) CreatureDisplayExtra-14575_HD.blp
- Ref: https://www.wowhead.com/npc=23376/dragonmaw-foreman#screenshots

PS - If you delete the model reference the client will crash, so I just put a replacement in.

I think this error could stem from the fact that this NPC had a bugged texture in Patch 6.0. It was supposedly fixed in 7.03. Another interesting thing is in WMV the texture shows a bugged texture on the model with a miner's headlamp. In one of the bugged retail screenshots the NPC has a blue cube on its head which I'm guessing is the missing miner helmet. Anyway.. fixed and moving on.

I may be misunderstanding the issue you're describing. I thought you were referring to the rough bottom edge of the cape, which is intentional, but that doesn't sound like what you're referring to anymore. I'm scrutinizing my cape vs. the cape in Wowhead Dressing Room and failing to see a difference other than the rough bottom edge.

In any case, I already sent you a gif of this problem earlier. This problem is clearly visible there.

This problem is still not fixed.

I would like to make a suggestion (and even a request) to the developer:

I think it would be cool to keep the Black War Horse mount with this model (like it was before) - It was my favourite one

24azypw.png

And the others horses mounts with this updated model like they are right now (the ones that you can buy with some gold next to Stormwind)

24o3qec.png

And maybe even use a unique model for each one of those "Black War mounts" that you can afford for 50k honor points (just like the Black War Wolf)
Thanks!

This goes a bit to the wrong adress^^. Whisper me or ask on modcraft.

At my last update i warn about that change so that you can edit it by yourself, before you overwrite it. i will not go back to them .

So if you still have the old patch delete all folders without the ridinghorse one and rename the patch to Patch-H.

First I just want to thank you for making this. It will be so much more enjoyable to play classic now with the updated models. Quick question tho: do you have an ETA on the updated faces for the vanilla models? I see that it says "soon", just wondering what time frame you're working with here.

Hello, thanks you very much for this patch !

You think it's possible to import HD textures to WoW Classic on retail for the summer ? ?

"soon" meaning "probably a really long time from now" haha. I got distracted by another mod I'm working on plus I wanted to wait a while to make sure I didn't have any bugs before downporting it. I'm just about done with my other mod ("Draenei Redesign" coming soon) and I haven't been able to find any bugs for a while now, so maybe it really will be happening soon...

I just uploaded updates for all. Better faces/helms/shoulders are now common between CL, BC, and WotLK version. I've also added Cataclysm Goblin NPCs and the optional Draenei Redesign I mentioned. the WotLK version is compatible with Finsternis's mod (WotLK) and the CL version is compatible with Uthil's Improved Models mod.

Seems like the download links don't lead to the updated post tho. I might just be doing something wrong. Rather, the vanilla one doesn't. The other two lead to mediafire links.

Hi  leeviathan, fan of the work you have been doing with these updated models! There seems to be a problem with human female models specifically the portrait they are all displayed fullsize instead of head and shoulders, this bug was also in your previous version. The same can been seen with the Felorcs too. WoTLK client.

Goblin flightmasters seem to be using the older models.

Also find attached a fixed EmotesTextSound.dbc for WoTLK some characters were missing sounds for: Cackle, Chuckle, Giggle, Gloat, Guffaw, Mourn, Rofl, and Taunt.

Keep up the good work! :)

Cheers,

Arranz

p.s. Curious why this new one has to be loaded after Finsternis creature pack now?

Human Female portraits: these appear correctly for me. Are you sure you aren't overwriting my patch with someone else's patch (maybe a custom patch is lurking in the localization folder)? Or perhaps using a custom client (i.e. Warmane)? Also, my patch doesn't replace Felorcs.

Goblins: I'm aware some goblin models are the old model. I'm guessing the goblins that use the old model are NPCs that weren't in Cataclysm. FYI the goblin mod was made by someone else and I integrated it by request.

Emotes: thanks, somehow I always manage to unfix that dbc file. Thanks for letting me know.

Finsternis compatibility: Actually I don't see a reason my patch needs to load after Finsternis's mod, I take back what I said in my info.txt file

Thanks for getting back to me leeviathan, I see it is my ShadowedUnitFrames addon giving me that problem! Should be simple enough to fix that, I hope. Currently reviewing my client now as I noticed a couple of files (lichking.mpq and scan.dll) are slightly larger than what others are supplying :S anyway that is my problem not yours :)

Follow-up:
Sorry I wasn't clear about using the 3D portrait!
The problem does seem to stem from human female model as original one works. I did some research on this and blizzard messed up the worgens when first released and the 3D portrait was not working correctly ""See Here""

For now I've done a workaround for ShadowedUnit Frames similar would need doing for Pitbull addon:

ShadowedUnitFrames\modules\portrait.lua (very end of the file replace with the following)

	-- Use animated 3D portrait
	else
		frame.portrait:SetUnit(frame.unitOwner)
		local model = frame.portrait:GetModel()
		-- ChatFrame1:AddMessage('Model: ' .. model)
		if( strfind(model, "humanfemale.m2") ) then
			frame.portrait:SetCamera(1)
		else
			frame.portrait:SetCamera(0)
		end
		frame.portrait:Show()
	end
end

Cheers,

Arranz

Undead Female also reverses the camera order so it'll probably have the same issue

Also, just uploaded a bunch of fixes including: a random crash bug related to textures, Night Elf Male teeth not showing, the addition of missing sounds for various emotes. Also added a new hairstyle to my optional redesigned Draenei male. Oh boy

Quick question, but I don't know if this is the right place for it. Is there any way to tell if these files also include female goblin models? Because I'd like to change all gnomes to Goblins instead if possible.

Can anyone explain the problem warfol02 is trying to show me?

Look carefully at the cloak, and you will realize that there are additional textures, but it's not textures, and additional animation. For clarity, I will show more in the second screenshot.WoWScrnShot_041319_142349.thumb.jpg.1b2201d36479c91dcb9282aca5c1ce92.jpg

Understood; the cape is clipping with the Tauren's back. I can adjust that when I do another batch of updates.

Also, is it just me or does female orcs faces still look a little outdated? Their eyebrows are low quality, as well as their lips.

It's not just you, the original resolution of the HD model faces is 512x512 and I have less than half of that (256x192  in WotLK and 128x96 in CL/BC). Optimization helps a lot--generally I got about 1.5-2x the pixels allocated to the faces--but the gap in resolution is extreme. For your edification here's what I've done to optimize the Orc Female face: the original is on the left and the optimized one I created is on the right. http://www.mediafire.com/view/39n4q6tkhe4v24w/ORCFEMALEFACELower00_00.jpg#

Forgive my ignorance, but is there any way to up the resolution on the faces? Or is it a limitation of the client?
